Delwood takes its social responsibilities seriously by involving local charities to every public event it owns or organizes. Since the beginning, Delwood events have contributed over AED 2 million to many worthy causes. Both corporate hospitality packages include tickets to the infamous Charity Gala Dinner where each charity presents their cause and a live Christie's auction is conducted with funds being donated to the charities. On top of that 2,500 AED from each corporate hospitality package sold will be donated to the official charities. The Tennis Legends take time during their stay to visit the centers and meet the children that will benefit from the contributions made. Representatives, members and children from each of the charities will attend the Press Conference, the Charity Gala Dinner evening and invited to watch the tournament matches. Emirates NBD The Legends “Rock” Dubai each year supports two local children's charities and 2008 is no exception, this year the Dubai Center for Special Needs and Dubai Autism Center are the dedicated organizations.

Opened in 2001 the Dubai Autism Center is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit organization in the United Arab Emirates serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Whose goal is to successfully integrate children with Autism into the community through holistic intervention and therapy, together with focused efforts to create social awareness about Autism. |
